About Soul Cypher Swiss

Soul Cypher Swiss is an annual breaking and all style competition in Zürich, Switzerland that aims to celebrate hip hop culture and the feeling of community. Since we started back in 2011, we have been dedicated to creating a space for dancers to come together, connect, socialize and compete. This event is hosted by hip-hop activist my-key77 and organized by him and his dedicated team of dance battle enthusiasts, all united by a common goal: to create an unforgettable experience where everyone feels like part of one big family.

This event brings together people from all over the world, who want to express and experience their love of breaking, dancing and hip-hop culture. Today we are still growing in popularity, having already hosted dancers from 15 different countries and documenting a growing number of participants and viewers every year. 2024, qualifiers were held in East and West Coast USA, Italy, Tunisia and Slovenia. Winners of those qualifiers get to skip pre-selection here in Switzerland and face off against the best of the best after the pre-selection is over. Other talented dancers from Switzerland and other countries get to showcase their best moves in 7 to Smoke battles in Zürich during pre-selection and get a chance to battle against our international guests. So be ready for high-level battles with skilled b-boys and b-girls!

No matter your age, background or level of experience, Soul Cypher Swiss offers an exciting and inclusive environment for all to showcase their skills on the mat and experience the thrill of a dance battle.
